Hydraulic cylinders cover various types based on structure, mounting style and working conditions. Proper selection greatly influences equipment stability and service life.

Common Classifications
By action type
  • Double-acting cylinder: Pressure oil can be supplied on both sides to realize active extension and retraction, which is the most widely used type.
  • Single-acting cylinder: Pressure oil feeds one side only; retraction relies on load weight or spring return with simpler construction.
By structure
  • Tie rod cylinder, engineering cylinder, telescopic multi-stage cylinder, servo test cylinder and so on. Multi-stage cylinders are adopted for long stroke with limited installation space. Servo cylinders feature high precision and low friction, mainly used in testing equipment.
By mounting method
  • Clevis mounting, flange mounting, ball joint mounting. Different structures adapt to different force angles and prevent premature seal damage caused by side load.
Main Selection Criteria
